Data Saturation

This line graph was made as an exercise in search of ways to incorporate extremely saturated data into a visualization that is simple and easy to read, yet still effective.

In this case, the data consists of 20 series of 25 randomized data points a piece. This version of the chart maintains visibility of all 500 data points, without the clutter of each line visualized.

Other methods might include a "dimming" of the "unimportant" series, or even replacement with lines of statistical measure/central tendency such as mean, median, or acceptable deviations.

If we had kept the lines of all 20 data series visible and opaque, the entire chart would be almost completely unreadable.
